‘Unsubscribe here’. A quick tip to improve your e-life.

Apr 03, 2014 by Mark Baines Category: Marketing

Are you like me? A flurry of spam in your inbox, consisting of boring newsletters and under-employed members of my industry offering ‘Five ways to make your email more effective’.

Fear not. The ‘unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of the email need not be an object of dread, opening the gates to yet more examples of self-acclaimed digital experts seeking to prove they know what they’re talking about.

Use it, and your life will soon be free again of those unwanted messages.

Ignore it, and your inbox will become increasingly congested with more wannabe digital marketers than happy customers.

What’s more, a spammer who receives a high number of unsubscribes will be blacklisted by the main anti-virus softwares, so you’ll be doing us all a favour.

Go on. Do it. Unsubscribe them. Show them that you understand that marketing is about making money, not harnessing technology!

Out with technophobia. In with marketing!
